It is traditionally reserved for [[Governor-General of Ibagli|Governors-General]], [[Prime Minister of Ibagli|Prime Ministers]], [[Speaker of the House of Commons|Speakers of the House of Commons]], and certain other eminent and important Ibaglians.

There may only be 30 living Knights or Ladies Companion at any time, but all Governors-General and Prime Ministers (usually upon retirement from politics) may be granted the honour, regardless of the limit. No more than eight Knights or Ladies Companion can be appointed in one year. There are currently 23 Knights and Ladies Companion of the Order of the Palm.
