The Chief of the Defence Staff is the professional head of the Ibaglian Armed Forces. The Chief of the Defence Staff commands the Ibaglian Armed Forces under the direction of the Minister of Defence. Chiefs of the Defence Staff are traditionally raised to the highest rank in their service upon their appointment. The current Chief of the Defence Staff is Field Marshal Sir Peter Chaucer.
