Plans have been released for the funeral of former Chief of the Defence Staff Field Marshal Sir William Benson.

15 July

• Body moved to the Citadel, where it will lie in repose.

16 July

• Funeral procession to the Army Chapel at Haphonia Barracks.

Procession details

• The processional route will be lined by the Royal Ibaglian Regiment.

• Mounted Police

• Central Band of the Royal Ibaglian Air Force

• Detachment of the Royal Ibaglian Air Force

• Detachment of the Royal Ibaglian Regiment

• Detachment of the Royal Ibaglian Navy

• Gun carriage carrying the body

• Family Members

• Chiefs of the Defence Staff, Navy, Army, and Air Force

• Detachment of the Royal Regiment of Ibaglian Artillery

• Royal Ibaglian Navy Band

• Mounted Police

• A 50-person guard of honour will be mounted by soldiers from the Royal Regiment of Ibaglian Artillery, and will give a General Salute upon the arrival of the gun carriage.
