The Honourable Sir Raymond McNeese (1898–1982) was the first Minister of Defence in Ibagli serving from 1955 to 1959, and later Attorney-General from 1972 to 1976. In 1947, he became the caretaker of his nephew Vincent, who would later become prime minister.
