Vincent McNeese
The Right Honourable Vincent McNeese (21 February 1940–17 June 2005) was the Prime Minister of Ibagli from 2004 to 2005.
He was born on 21 February 1940 in Wellington, New Zealand. His parents were killed in a car crash when he was 7, and he was sent to Ibagli to live with his father's brother Raymond McNeese, who later served as Minister of Defence. He attended Thistledowne and Oxford.
He was first elected to the House of Commons in 1972. He lost his seat in the 1976 election, but regained it the next year. In 1994, he ran an unsuccessful campaign for the leadership of the Liberal Party, losing to Jacob Philips. After the death of Philips in 1996, he was named interim leader. He was later elected leader of the Liberal Party. In the 2004 election, the Liberal Party won a minority government.
He died of a heart attack on 17 June 2005. Minister of Finance Anthony Kinder was appointed interim leader of the Liberal Party and Prime Minister. He was given a state funeral in Haphonia.
