The Leader of the Government in the House of Commons is the cabinet minister responsible for planning the legislative agenda of the government in the House of Commons.

The Government House Leader works with the house leaders of the opposition parties to aid the passage of the government's bills. The Government House Leader is also customarily the Vice-President of the Executive Council.
