A soldier of the 2nd Battalion Royal Ibaglian Regiment has been killed in Afghanistan. Private Mark Gibbs, 19, was killed during fighting with the Taliban near Kandahar, where the RIR in Afghanistan is currently based. His body is expected to be flown home on Sunday. He is the 4th Ibaglian to die in combat since the beginning of the conflict.
