Patricia Cunard, Viscountess Feldon
The Right Honourable Patricia Cunard, Viscountess Feldon, OIM, GCRI (born 1932) is the current Chancellor of Thistledowne University and the widow of the first Governor-General of Ibagli, The Viscount Feldon. She was born in Haphonia, and lived with her great aunt after the death of both of her parents in a car accident in 1933. She began to work on the government cleaning staff in 1948, and she met her husband while working at Government House. While the announcement that she would marry Lord Feldon in 1952 was initially scandalous due to the large difference in age and social class, the wedding was one of the highlights of the social scene in the 1950s. She had one child with Lord Feldon, Olivia, born in 1954. After her husband's term as Governor-General ended in 1958, she moved with him to Edinburgh, where she remained until his death in 1960. She then moved to Sydney before returning to Ibagli in the 1970s. She is currently the patron of the Cunard Fund, a charity to aid the families of ill children. She was reportedly offered the role of Governor-General in the 1980s, but declined.
